The Galileo service operator (hereinafter the GSOp or the contractor) is the organisation that shall operate and maintain the Galileo system (ground and space segments) under contractual relationship with the GSA, and guarantee compliance with the service performance requirements.
In particular, the contractor shall be responsible for operation and maintenance of the Galileo system (ground and space segments), guaranteeing compliance with the set service requirements. The responsibilities of the contractor are going to include: operations, system monitoring, service management, integrated logistics support, maintenance, user services, support to evolution and deployment activities and provision of tools and spare parts to support the service provision.
