The purpose of the present public contract shall be conclusion of a Framework Agreement with one bidder under Sec 89 of the Act to satisfy the Contracting Authority's needs in the area of protection and commercialization of intellectual property rights (hereinafter referred to as the ‘IPR’) produced by the Contracting Authority's research institutions in connection with the Projects as well as the use of research and development infrastructure created and administered in connection with the Projects. The Twinning Framework Agreement constitutes a framework agreement within the meaning of Sec 11 of the Act. The performance to be provided under the present public contract shall be twinning, specifically provision/making available of particular know-how by transferring the bidder's ‘first hand’ own expertise, experience and skill set in the field of protection and commercialization of IPR produced by the Contracting Authority's research institutions as well as the use of administered research and development infrastructure by providing consultations, on-site advisory services at the Contracting Authority's institutions and workplaces and by providing internships for the Contracting Authority's at the bidder's workplaces (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Twinning’ and/or the ‘Twinning Activities’). Bidders shall implement Twinning with the Contracting Authority (‘Contracting Authority’) based on individual/specific orders to be issued by the Contracting Authority in line with Sec 92(1)( a) of the Act. The anticipated total extent of the provided services (hours devoted to the Twinning Activities by the bidder/supplier of the services) shall amount to 924 hours.
