Lasers for Alignment
The contracting authority, whose main activity is to conduct research and development in the physical sciences, is the recipient of a grant for the project 'ELI: Extreme Light Infrastructure' implemented under the Operational Program Research and Development for Innovation (hereinafter the 'Project'). The project is to build a laser research centre and its laser technologies infrastructures. The objectives of the project and the binding technical descriptions of the project are further defined, and are annexed to the grant decision. The subject of the public tender is the purchase of lasers for alignment of L1, L2, L3 and L4 ELI-Beamlines laser lines. The alignment laser is a closed-box system containing three main subsystems: an oscillator providing the laser pulses, an amplifier for increasing the laser pulses intensity and a compressor for shortening the pulses time duration down to a few tens of femtoseconds. The device should not need any specific tuning before operation; it will be closed box system and will not be accessible during standard operation. Therefore the laser system should be highly reliable with a very good pointing stability. For alignment purposes of the beam transport sections of the ELI facility, we need only a few milljoules per laser shot but we are expecting a high repetition rate for being able to average many shots when driving closed-loop systems. The Subject Matter of the Public Contract for supplies includes a selection of a supplier that shall — based on a concluded purchase contract supply performance as specified in Annex 5 (Technical Specifications) and Annex 6 (Binding text of the Contract) of the Tender Documentation.
